Co-creativity & inclusive practice
Tuesday 8 June 2021 (please note that ticket sales close on Sunday 6 June)
1000-1300 & 1400-1700
Online workshop
Co-produced in partnership with Orchestras Live, led by James Redwood and guest leader Amina Hussain.
The first half of the day will focus on communication, co-creation and agency in creative music making. You will have the opportunity to explore how music making can enable people to realise their own musical potential, and to try out a variety of techniques and approaches which support their expressive journey.
In the afternoon, you will explore a range of games and exercises with James Redwood which provide structure and scaffolding, in both live and digital formats to build your confidence in delivering creative composition sessions.
This day we will also be joined by Alice Phelps, Orchestra Live’s first Trainee Music Leader, who will share her experiences of the traineeship and what it has meant for her professional development.
