Improv & instruments: Group music making and composition

Led by Sam Glazer and guest leader Sarah Freestone
The third day in the series will explore varied techniques for creative composition and group improvisation with musicians of all levels and genres. It will introduce approaches for group composition work, including warm-ups and devising games, listening and score analysis. You will gain access to numerous tools to create, develop and structure material for your own workshops. You’ll also learn how to set tasks, create a melody, and get your participants to think about harmony.
