(Online workshop)
Led by Abimaro Gunnell and guest leaders Gawain Hewitt and Paul Cree
Do you use Zoom? Then you’ve got all the technology you need to do this workshop! You’ll learn how to use free online music making software and how to lead workshops with both your voice and technology. The session will explore how to work impactfully in the current context of the global pandemic.
In the morning, Abimaro and Gawain will lead a workshop using BandLab – a platform for musicians to create music and collaborate with others – giving participants the opportunity to work independently and as part of a group.
Paul Cree will join the group in the afternoon, leading a session focussed on a range of lyric-writing techniques and tools. The workshop will end with an open discussion lead by Abimaro and Gawain, discussing the role of technology in creative music making.
