Retrace virtually the steps of the most famous radical women associated with Bow, starting with the Bryant and May match women.  Sylvia Pankhurst established the Suffragette East London Federation here, campaigning not only for the right of women to vote, but also to establish their social and economic freedom. Leading suffragette, Minnie Lansbury, lived and died here, leading a heroic fight for justice for local residents.

This 75 minute virtual tour will be brought to you by East London on Foot, a group of guides with a shared passion for London’s vibrant, ever changing East End. The tour will be hosted by Oonagh Gay.
