We are delighted to announce that Skills Lab Academy will return in 2022!
Skills Lab Academy is a professional training course for emerging and established music leaders, aged 18+, from all backgrounds who wish to develop their skills in creative music-making and leadership in a range of community settings. This year’s course will be led by dynamic professional music leaders Abimaro Gunnell and James Redwood, alongside a host of exciting guest speakers. The course is open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all disciplines and levels of experience, though would particularly suit those looking to build a career as a professional music workshop leader.
The full course consists of four full days of in-person, interactive training and will cover a range of themes including working with inclusive ensembles, mindfulness techniques and creative music-making in schools. Attendance at all four days is strongly encouraged, though day tickets are also available. Three out of four days of training will be held in East London, with one day taking place in Leeds (the home of our partners, Orchestras Live).
Tickets will be priced at £45 per day session, or £135 for all four (if booked by 10th February).
