Neighbourhood Schools, Spitalfields Music Festival 2024

Royal Academy of Music Schools’ Tour: Temporal Harmonies Inc.

Students from the Royal Academy of Music visit our Neighbourhood Schools

1st-4th July (2024)

Part of our long-running Neighbourhood Schools programme

This is a private event

Spitalfields Music has had a long-standing partnership with the Royal Academy of Music’s Open Academy. We bring ensembles from the Open Academy to visit Tower Hamlets Primary Neighbourhood Schools. Previous ensembles have included the Kyan Quartet and Ensemble Renard, who are now Britten-Pears Young Artists and awardees of both the Countess of Munster Musical Trust’s Recital Scheme and the Tunnell Trust.

This year we are welcoming Temporal Harmonies Inc. to Tower Hamlets primary Neighbourhood Schools for this year’s Schools’ Tour. The ensemble (Mikołaj Piszczorowicz cello; Lydia Walquist flute; Xiaowen Shang piano) will be visiting three Neighbourhood Schools over the course of the week, introducing them to contemporary classical music through an immersive and interactive workshop experience with KS2 classes throughout the school.

Please note this is a private event and cannot be booked.
