In our early evening concert, young superstar horn player Ben Goldscheider and pianist Richard Uttley bring music that spans centuries and genres. Beethoven’s Horn Sonata was truly ground-breaking 225 years ago, while over a century later Jane Vignery’s was brilliantly melodic in a rapidly changing world. In premiering new works from Jonathan Dove and Brian Elias, Ben continues his mission to explore the horn’s future as well as its past.
