Composer and Festival Curator Errollyn Wallen laid down a challenge to eight other female composers: could they write short, fast pieces as part of a lunchtime concert at Spitalfields Festival 2020? Reimagined for a covid-locked-down world – with performers at home in Scotland, England and the USA – we are proud to present Fast Food, Fast Music, featuring the Miller-Porfiris Duo (Anton Miller & Rita Porfiris) and Siwan Rhys premiering Spitalfields Music commissions by Victoria Benito, Joy Effiong, Bobbie-Jane Gardner, Millicent James, Sarah Rodgers, Jasmin Rodgman, Susannah Self, and Heloise Werner, alongside Errollyn Wallen’s Five Postcards.
