Our ever-popular guide Daniella King returns to reveal more historical secrets of our home patch. Always popular, and with limited numbers of tickets, book early to ensure you’re in the know

During today’s walk, we will be diving back into 2,000 years of history in a very historic part of London which has attracted many different races through the millennia, each of which brought their own stories.

We will hear of the Romans and especially stories of an amazing cemetery discovered in the area. Moving forwards in time to the Middle-Ages, we’ll discover the story behind a medieval hospital.  There are also iconic churches in this area, alongside famous markets and one of the most intriguing houses in the whole of London, frozen in time for hundreds of years!

And we end the walk in the heart of Shoreditch – where 21st century Londoners visit trendy bars and clubs, but where 16th century Londoners came for Shakespeare and the Elizabethan theatre.  The tour will end at Shoreditch Town Hall, affording the opportunity to attend the early evening gig by Her Ensemble at the nearby Village Underground.
