Join us for The Big Sing, our Key Stage 3 singing project which draws together over 100 Year 7-9 students from schools across Tower Hamlets. The massed choir will entertain local workers in Spitalfields Market with a professional band, performing music ranging from pop, choral, folk/jazz and classical choral. Come hear the uplifting sounds of these great young singers!
Now in it’s third year, the KS3 singing initiative aims to energise singing in Tower Hamlets secondary schools, bringing together pupils from schools across the borough in massed choir performance. Working closely to empower music teachers, the project builds vocal skills and enjoyment of singing to raise the musical aspirations of students.
The Big Sing is generously supported by Spitalfields Estates E1, D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, Wessex Youth Trust, M&G Investments, Aspinwall Charitable Trust, Ernest Cook Trust, GMC Trust, Michael Tippett Musical Foundation, Simon Martin and Tower Hamlets Arts Music and Education Service (THAMES).
