Lagrime mie: Songs of Prayer and Solitude

An exclusive concert by Dunedin Consort from Christ Church Spitalfields, featuring early Baroque masterworks by Schutz; Monteverdi and his assistant at St. Mark’s Venice, Grandi; and equally beautiful but lesser-known music by contemporaneous Italian female composers, Strozzi and Caccini.

Dunedin Consort is one of the world’s leading Baroque ensembles, and will feature heavily in our 2021 Summer Festival, including a rare performance of Rameau’s Pygmalion starring the vocal soloist in this programme, Nicholas Mulroy.

– O Misericordissime Jesu
Strozzi
