Programme to include music by Gidon Fineman, Elo Masing and Samuel Rapley
Come and join us at the Royal Academy of Music for Songs in Space, the premiere performance of three new songs written and performed by Year 5 pupils from Canon Barnett and Shapla primary schools and the choir of Swanlea Secondary School in collaboration with three Open Academy Fellowship composers. Part of our Neighbourhood Schools programme, this performance marks the culmination of a four-week project led by vocal leader Suzi Zumpe and Spitalfields Music Trainee Music Leaders. In addition to the three new songs there will also be performances by students from the Royal Academy of Music of specially selected spaced-themed music.
