For the fourth and final session of our 2023 season, we welcome back singer-songwriter Abimaro Gunnell to continue her exploration of techniques and approaches, helping you to build on previous sessions in the series and continue to improve your skills and confidence as a music leader working in communities. Do bring your instrument if you have one, or come prepared to use your voice!
We will also be joined by co-founder of award-winning Girls Rock London, Jessie Maryon Davies, who will demystify the concept of Youth Voice and share her extensive experience of building this into her educational work.
Participants will come away with a clear understanding of what is meant by Youth Voice and how to effectively plan creative music projects with this concept at its heart. This session is suitable for individuals of varying levels of experience, regardless of whether you have heard of this term before or not.
Spitalfields Music is committed to making the course as accessible as possible. Three fully-funded bursary places are available by application. Please complete this form by 9am on Thursday 12th January.
We will also consider supporting other access and/or caring costs to enable as many people to attend as possible. Contact Nicole Artingstall with any access questions: ku.gro.cisumsdleiflatips@elocin
Skills Lab Academy is generously supported by The Late Christopher Vaughan, SHM Foundation, The Wingate Foundation and other individual donors.
