Enjoy an intimate evening in the historic surroundings of the Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London.

Combining history and the present, hear pieces from JS Bach’s incomplete Orgelbüchlein, an intended ‘handbook’ for organists, alongside new compositions from John Frandsen, Daniel Kidane, Jacques Pichard and Axel Ruoff, brining the Orgelbüchlein into the 21st century.

Among this, the Odyssean Ensemble, led by Colm Carey, perform unaccompanied English choral works written in the 1500s, shortly after the chapel was built. They include Robert’s White Lamentations and William Byrd’s Ne irascaris Domine, a mourning for the desolation of Catholic England.

Running time: 1hr 30min
