Saturday 3 – Sunday 4 December, 10.30am – 4.30pm
Across a practical voice and movement weekend workshop, award-winning Protein Dance Company will open up the creation process of their latest production, May Contain Food. The workshop, for singers and dancers of all abilities, will explore our relationship to food and mealtimes and is led by Protein’s artistic director Luca Silvestrini and professional artists from Protein and Spitalfields Music.
This is a chance to develop your skills in collaboration, improvisation and devising, whilst working with performers from other art forms – to create and make together. You’ll also get a ticket to see a performance of May Contain Food on the evening of Tuesday 6 December.
We are looking for participants who are interested in collaboration and working across different art forms. You might be a singer or a dancer, already part of a choir, taking dance classes, or involved in a community performance project. You don’t need to have had professional training or be able to read music.
Participants must be over the age of 18 but there is no upper age limit.
If you’re not sure it’s for you – give us a call, we’ll guide you through it.
