Add a classical twist to your Wednesday lunchtimes. From August and throughout September, Spitalfields Music in partnership with The Canary Wharf Group, presents to you music from City of London Sinfonia.
Set in Jubilee Park, Canary Wharf, this series of free, pop-up gigs will be happening every Wednesday from 12-2pm, until 30th September. Jubilee Park is located just above Jubilee Place, so grab a bite to eat from one of their stores and head to the park for a picnic with a performance.
The third of our Lunchtime Classicals, on Wednesday 9th September (12-2pm) will feature a String Quartet, comprised of Gabby Painter as the first violin player, Clare Hayes as the second violin plater, Matt Maguire on the viola and Becky Knight on the cello. They’ll be playing chamber music across three centuries by Mozart, Haydn, Elgar, Gershwin and Piazzolla.
Please note that whilst we aim to go ahead whatever the weather, the event will be cancelled in adverse conditions.
Space is available on a first come, first served basis. If audience capacity is reached, the space may need to be closed off so that it remains safe.
