Give your Wednesday lunchtimes a classical twist this August with our series of free, classical gigs on the Summer Stage in Canada Square Park.
Working with The Canary Wharf Group, we’re bringing you four different wind ensembles across the month, performing an exciting range of music both old and new.
City of London Sinfonia: Bassoon Trio
Chris Rawley – bassoon
Ruth Rosales – bassoon
Linton Stephens – bassoon
The bassoon is the deepest of the woodwind instruments, sometimes known as the joker of the orchestra, but also featuring in pop songs by alt-J and playing the theme for the children’s TV classic Ivor the Engine. Three of London’s finest bassoonists have come together to showcase this majestic instrument’s glorious sounds.
