LivingArts is a brand new project which aims to re-imagine care homes as arts centres, offering older people the opportunity to continue to develop as creative individuals, working alongside musicians, dancers and a visual artists to transform their environment and their relationship to it.
During the eight-week project, musicians Julian West and Amy May, dancer Clare Whistler, visual artist Lucy Steggals, Trainee Music Leader Tim Cape and Royal Academy of Music Musicians took residence in the care home.
Working with residents, we encouraged creation of new pieces of art, dance and music which were shared in a mini arts festival on Wednesday 6 April.
