This summer we’re working with Phoenix School which caters for children with severe language and communication difficulties and severe learning difficulties, including those on the autistic spectrum. We’ll be working with two classes including the school’s satellite class based at Marner Primary School where pupils have the opportunity to join activities within the mainstream school.
Our workshop leaders Sam Chaplin and Abimaro Gunnell and Spitalfields Music Trainee Music Leader Raphael Clarkson will work with Key Stage 2 pupils, exploring the school topic ‘Journeys in our Imagination’ through musical play, singing and song-writing. A series of six weekly sessions will lead towards a celebratory assembly performance to the rest of the school.
