Founded in 2011 at the Royal Academy of Music, the award-winning Inner City Brass are acknowledged masters of their instruments.  Drawing inspiration from the legendary Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, they are passionate about introducing new generations of audiences to brass music, including commissions and arrangements from contemporary composers.  Working in partnership with Ryedale Festival, Spitalfields Music has commissioned a new work for the quintet from the outstanding young composer, jazz trombonist and big band arranger, Callum Au.
