Soundbox is an inclusive music ensemble, bringing together disabled and non-disabled musicians aged 11+, from East London and beyond. The group use a mixture of traditional instruments, music technology and singing, to compose and perform original music.

Music leaders support participants to collaborate in small groups and as an ensemble. Each term, the work culminates in a performance, where participants share their pieces to audiences of family and guests.

Soundbox was first piloted in 2016, in partnership with Drake Music and LSO Discovery as three-day Easter holiday project. Since then, the project has continued, and is currently delivered in partnership with Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES)Drake Music, and LSO Discovery.
