Programme:
Shiva Feshareki GABA-analogue
Anna Meredith Barchan
Igor Stravinsky The Firebird Suite (1919)

Spitalfields Music brings a symphony orchestra to the home of British boxing with an immersive spectacle. Instrumentalists are spaced around the room, allowing audience members to walk amongst the players and make their own journey through this site-specific production of Shiva Feshareki’s GABA-analogue.

After the break, we enjoy a guest appearance from soloist Jörgen van Rijen, Principal Trombone of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, who performs Anna Meredith’s fiery Barchan followed by a timeless masterpiece, Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite (1919).

Joint ticket offer: Attend Ringside Symphony and Late-night Firebird for £15. Offer will be applied when you add both events to your basket.

York Hall opened in 1929 and quickly became one of Britain’s best known boxing venues. Opening originally as a Turkish bathhouse, York Hall’s neo-Georgian Grade II architecture, skylight arched windows and host of original features have cemented its reputation as an extraordinary venue not only for sporting events but for a variety of live music, fashion and comedy.
